How Sima began
A country reopening, and a clinic that came to meet it
On 8 December 2024 Syria changed, and a door that many thought shut for good opened again. By the summer of 2026 Aleppo’s airport had scheduled flights from Istanbul, Sharjah and Kuwait, the citadel and the covered souq had reopened, and visitors were arriving in numbers nobody had planned for. Sima was born inside that moment, not before it and not after it. For years, anyone in Syria who wanted a hair transplant to an international standard had one road, a visa, a flight, a hotel and a recovery far from family in Istanbul. Sima turned the road around. The hands travel, the client stays. Türkiye is the world’s reference market for hair transplants, and the Istanbul practice behind Sima is the group’s own. Your Hair Center is a licensed medical-tourism centre in Istanbul working through accredited partner hospitals, and its specialists rotate between the two cities. Every procedure at Sima takes place under its own roof, with monthly follow-up until the twelfth month.
We did not choose Aleppo because it was convenient. We chose it because it is our own city, and because it had reopened.

What we wrote down before we opened the door
Sima was founded in Aleppo on a written conviction, that we would bring the specialists in rather than send the patients out, and keep the whole of the work, from consultation to follow-up, under one Syrian roof with the Istanbul team. The charter below is the contract the clinic signed with itself before it signed with its first client.

A city reopening, and a clinic that could not have opened before
Why Aleppo, and why now
Sima could not have opened before December 2024. The Istanbul specialists would not have come, Aleppo was not a city a visitor could easily reach, and nobody would have known when to book. Then the country changed. In the first half of 2026 Syria received 3.52 million visitors, more than double the year before, and 719,000 of them were tourists from outside the Arab world. Guided tours of Aleppo resumed in January 2026, the citadel and much of the covered souq have reopened, and a tourism police force has been on the streets since May 2026. Most Western governments still advise against travel to Syria. We say so plainly, link their advice on the travel guide, and describe what actually operates on the ground so that you decide with facts. If you are Syrian and coming home, time the procedure with the visit; the team stays with you over WhatsApp after you fly back.
