Most contemporary scholars treat a hair transplant as medical treatment that removes a defect, not as a change to God’s creation. The transplanted hair is the patient’s own, taken from the donor area, which is what separates it from hair extensions. The conditions usually named are that the aim is treatment rather than display, that a qualified doctor performs it in a licensed facility, and that the hair is the patient’s own. We share this for information, not as a religious ruling. When can I pray and prostrate after the procedure?
The first days call for gentleness with the grafts until they settle. As a rough guide, light wiping of the head for ablution from the third day for 7 to 10 days, without rubbing or pressure. Prayer seated, with a nod in place of full prostration, during the first week. Full prostration resumed gradually after 14 days, provided the grafts have settled and there is no pressure on the scalp.
